prayer
each night thinking
   in terms
something Higher

might be found
   who would listen
automatically

even when i catch myself
   calling out
accidentally Hey Siri!
   instead

we move not separate
as discreet agents
mind from body
how the arm connects
across the soul chest
feet lifting from earth
with our heads always
yearning up beyond
as far as can be

as you and as i are
motions in the air
   making
light in shapes
   to understand
feeling through breath
in this common pool
so briefly shared
   what might be
   discovered
to simply linger in
