dark blue at night
is the candlelight
cast upon the keys
glowing in their non-
script way as if
to say typewriters
are quaint as quills
dripping electronic
ink, ambient blue
reaching through
the wires and waves
out to space and back
solely to reach you

communication of
   emotion
faceless as words
logically tied
   by shapes
we call letters
silently convey
   into us
a promise we are
never unique in
   our isolation
nor the remedy
