Pride is never comfortable
celebrating who i am
   or what
things i like to do
but i have always
understood the reason
for all the multitudes
   to be accepted
by accepting humanity
in its peaceful states

perhaps i might be better
suited to Pride in myself
if i could be something
   i could
put my finger on or another
as i wander around amazed
by each particular diversity
   so often hidden in
   plain sight

honestly it's enough
when you really look
not for Pride from me
but the growing hearts
from others reaching
out and into us all
